Nog een achtergrondje uit m'n voorraad.  Deze is gemaakt met dylusions spray en huishoudfolie.  De stempels zijn van Art Journey en bij de bolletjes heb ik het kleur weggenomen met bleek.  Een techniek die ik geleerd heb op het Art Specially event en die ik heel graag toepas.  De bij werd ingekleurd met potloden en de vleugels hebben een parelmoerachtig effect (Action) maar op de foto is dit jammer genoeg niet zichtbaar. 

Herinner je gisteren

Een eenvoudige kaart met bovenaan brusho poeder dat werd bespoten met water. De kaart dan rechtop houden zodat de waterdruppels gewoon naar beneden kunnen druppelen.  Verder nog een tekststempel van The Stamping Cottage en het meisje van Art Journey.

Voor deze kaart heb ik dezelfde gesponsde achtergrond (Broken China, Stormy Sky en Chipped Sapphire). Daarna bestempeld met sneeuwvlokken van Hero Arts, een deel met distress inkt en een deel geëmbossed met wit poeder.  De andere stempels zijn van Art Journey (huisjes) en Marianne Design (tekst).

Happy Birthday

M'n blog is alweer een tijdje niet meer bijgewerkt, maar omdat ik Spaanse les ben beginnen volgen heb ik niet meer zoveel tijd om te stempelen, en al helemaal niet om te bloggen.  Er zijn wel nog een aantal kaarten die ik hier niet toonde en die ik de volgende weken wil delen met jullie.

Dit is de eerste.  Toen ik met deze kaart startte had ik iets anders in gedachten, maar ben toch tevreden met hoe het uiteindelijk gelopen is.  De achtergrond had ik al eventjes liggen, van op een stempeldag van de Creatief met Stempels-groep.  Heel eenvoudig met een distress inktpad strepen trekken zodat er een patroon met vierkanten ontstaat.  Daarna gewoon verder afgewerkt met stencils en stempels: poppies van Crafty Secrets, vlinder van Art Journey en de tekst van Darkroom Door (echt een geweldige set met verjaardagswensen).

My second card in the Ripe Persimmon - Picked Raspberry serie.  I'm a little lazy and when these inks are on my desk, I make a couple of cards in the same colours.  The stamps I've used are from Paperbag Studios (girl), Art Journey (ripples) and Stampers Anonymous (sentiment: Tim Holtz, Odds and Ends).

 

Art Journey Challenge #53: Something old, something new

This is the first card in a serie for which I only used 2 distress inks: Ripe Persimmon and Picked Raspberry.  I wanted to enter this one for the Art Journey challenge: something old, something new.  The stamp Man is already an oldie, while the Ripples Small are a 2014 release.  But because I had problems uploading pictures on my blog, I'm to late for the challenge.

Art Journey Challenge #49: Little Squares

It's been a while, but I've actually done nothing creative these last months.  As we came back from our vacation in Macedonia last week, I thought it was time for some stamping this weekend.  I've looked on Pinterest for some inspiration and I came up with this card for het Art Journey Challenge: Little Squares. I've first created a background with distress ink on my craft sheet (Chipped Sapphire, Weatered Wood, Frayed Burlap and Gathered Twigs).  After drying this I started stamping with Archival Ink (Coffee and Cobalt) and Color Box (Frost White).  Cutting out the squares, stamping the swirls, glueing everything together and this was the result. 

Art Journey Challenge: Scraplings!

Here are my first creations of this year!  I've made these scraplings to enter the Art Journey Challenge.  On the first two scraplings I've used distress markers on the stamps. My mother is a big fan of this simple style. On the third one, I've finally opened my perfect pearls boxes, which I bought almost 2 years ago. It's not so clear on the picture, but it glitters much more in reality, so I've used golden cardstock to go with it. The last scrapling is also with distress ink.

Art Journey Challenge 32: torn paper

With the new Art Journey stamps I bought in Zeist, I now have extra possibilities to enter their challenges :)  This month it sounded: torn paper.  As usual I've waited so long and I had to hurry to enter it in time. The card ended up almost as I had in mind. I only intended the colour of the girl to be darker. I used the same ink as for the insects but it looks much lighter.  I tried two times, but the result was the same. I don't know how this comes, maybe the ink wasn't completely dry when I masked it?

Art Journey Challenge 21: zentangle

As I finally bought my first Art Jourey stamps in Zeist, it was the first time I could enter this challenge. And it definitely was a challenge for me. I love watching zentangle, but I think I'm not patient enough to do it myself and my arm even hurt after a while. I'm happy with most of my designs except one is a little messed up, but I hope you don't see it to much. I might give it another try, but not immediately I think.
