My second card in the Ripe Persimmon - Picked Raspberry serie. I'm a little lazy and when these inks are on my desk, I make a couple of cards in the same colours. The stamps I've used are from Paperbag Studios (girl), Art Journey (ripples) and Stampers Anonymous (sentiment: Tim Holtz, Odds and Ends).

Last week I saw some sunburst cards on Pinterest and saved them because I want to try this technique once. But I've saved so many techniques and I don't know when I'll really make these cards. Today I saw on the Cards and Scrap blog that the current challenge was also starburst and sunburst card. I think this was a special sign to effectively make a sunburst card. I used papers from my Basic Grey paper pads and a LOTV stamp.

This is the first card in a serie for which I only used 2 distress inks: Ripe Persimmon and Picked Raspberry. I wanted to enter this one for the Art Journey challenge: something old, something new. The stamp Man is already an oldie, while the Ripples Small are a 2014 release. But because I had problems uploading pictures on my blog, I'm to late for the challenge.

I was surfing around and found the SU-per Challenges blog. It's already the 70th challenge and it sounds 'giftwrapping'. I thought it was a little crazy to try this because I'm not into gifts, I'm happy when I have time to create all the cards I need and try a layout every now an then. On top of this I don't have a lot of SU stamps (yet). But since it's a new year, I thought I could try something new and this is the result. I've copied the present we received from my nephew's baby son that was born in August. The background is created with distress inks and I've used the following stamps: Botanical Blooms, Polka Dot Punches and Friendship Preserves.

Every year Debby asks us to look back and choose the favorite five christmas cards we've created that year. Because of Klaartjes challenge I had a lot of cards to choose from this year. I've choosen a mix from scrapped and stamped cards.

Yes, I did it! I'm so happy I finished this challenge succesfully with a result of 31 christmas cards! I think I've made more cards this last month than I did in the rest of the year. It was a really nice experience and I've learned that I also have to try out the great ideas I find on Pinterest and that I have enough time after work to get my crafty stuff out, even if it's only for an hour or so. Now it's time to clean my desk 'cause I have to admit it's one big mess. As I didn't have a lot of time to do this in between, almost everything I've used is still on my desk.
