Simon Says Stamps Challenge

'Check it out' sounds this week's challenge. I thought this would be easy, but it took me a while to find suitable papers. Because I didn't have a pencil that fits with these papers, I tried paper piecing for the first time. I actually like this technique, so I'll definitely do it again. The sentiment says 'happy holidays' in Dutch.

I have this stamp for 22 months now and I'm ashamed to say this is the first time I use it. It's probably the good weather that inspired me for this nice 'summer feeling'-stamp. I want to enter this card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is 'in stitches'. I did some faux stiching in light grey around the borders.
