Christmas Card (23)

Sometimes I don't want to make cards, but I only want to colour with my Copics.  So I have some coloured images lying here ready to use.  This is why this card didn't take a lot of time to make. Besides the Magnolia image, I also used Dovecraft patterned papers (Noel), a star punch and a great sentiment from Crafts & Things.
Also take a look at the beautiful cards of the other ladies: Klaartje, Anne, Anita and Carla.

Christmas Card (21)

This will definitely be one of my favorite christmas cards at the end of this challenge.  And it was quite simple to make: I inked everything with Distress ink Tea Dye and I also stamped the background with this ink. The music stamp is from Stampers Anonymous (Tim Holtz - Joyful Song), the star from PSX (I was too lazy to use my stamp ruler, but I think it looks ok)  and the stips from Hampton Art Stamps.  I've used Distress ink Fired Brick for the Happy Newyear stamp from Magnolia. Then I took some red leftover papers to punch the border (Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch) and glued everything together!

Christmas card

Today I'm showing a christmascard I've made a while ago, but didn't show on my blog yet.
I'm quite happy with it, although it's not the traditional christmas red, but rather red-brown.  I've had to search for the right copic numbers, but I'm satisfied with the colouring result! The only thing that might be missing on the card is a sentiment, but I didn't know where to put it and still keep the card balanced.

Moving Along With The Times Challenge (till 12/12/2012)

This week's challenge on Moving Along With The Times blog is Clean and Simple. "Clean & simple is a creation with clean lines, lots of open space & a few if any embellishments."  So I think this card fits the theme!

Totally Tilda Challenge 61 (till 16/12/2012)

This is probably one of my favorite christmas stamps from Magnolia.  I love colouring this image, so I had a little stash and this card was quickly finished :)  I'm entering this card for the Totally Tilda Challenge: Tilda Sitting Pretty. I've only used Basic Grey papers from the Dasher collection and the sentiment is from Marianne Design 'Eline's Vintage Kerst teksten'.

Dutch Magnolia Chickies Challenge 34 (till 14/12/2012)

I can hardly believe it, but cardmaking is going really good this week :) So the challenge on the Dutch Magnolia Chickies was not so difficult: Make a christmascard .  I've used Tilda under Mistletoe (2009) for this one.  I've coloured her earlier this year, but have forgotten to write down the copic numbers.  I've used Dovecraft Christmas Fancy papers, again. These are really my favorites this week :).  The sentiment is from Hero Arts 'Holiday Sayings'. I've created the finishing touches with a Provocraft die Snowflake #2 and Basic Grey rhinestones.

Stamp Something Challenge: Anything Goes

I've been on a holiday to Spain, so it's been a while since my last post. I had a fantastic time there, but back to reality now. I'm entering this card in the Stamp Something Challenge (http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/ ). I think this is my best Copic coloured image so far. Mostly it ends up darker than intended, but I hope you can clearly see the different shades here :) It was already a bit dark when I took this picture, so sorry for the bad quality.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/2010/10/sparkly-bright.html

It's been a while since I posted. I had other things on my mind as my grandfather was in hospital and passed away last week. It's the first time now I feel like crafting again. I tried this week's challenge on Papertake Weekly: Sparkly & Bright.
I based this card on an example I saw at my LSS. I hope you can see it fits in the challenge as I added Stickles on the border of Tilda's cap. (not easy to photograph this)

Just Magnolia week 67

I'm happy to be in vacation this week, so I have plenty of time to be creative. My second card is for the Just Magnolia blog. I've never used acetate before, so this was a real challenge for me. I've spend quite some time on this card, but I'm really happy with the result and I'm sure I'll send it to a special person.
Not easy to see the acetate in the picture, but it's in the window of course.

Simon Says Challenge Stamp Challenge

http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2009/09/simon-says-heidis-choice-hidden-candy.html
I love sketches, so had to try this one and hopefully this will be the start of my refound mojo. It turned out totally different and more distressed than I had in mind, but I'm satisfied with the result!

Simon Says Challenge: distressing

http://simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2009/07/simon-says-lets-get-distressing.html
I used my edge scraper on every layer to get a distressed effect. I also inked everything, but this ended up a little bit darker than I wanted.

My supplies: Magnolia stamp, sentiment stamp from Linda , Basic Grey Figgy papers, Distress Ink Vintage Photo

Just Magnolia Week 14- Buttons

http://justmagnolia.blogspot.com/2009/07/week-14-buttons.html

Buttons are not something I usually use 'cause I'm always afraid to put to many embellishments on my card, so I 'll ruin it completely. But maybe I should try to use more brads, flowers, buttons, etc. 'cause I do have a large collection of them. This challenge was a good start!

My supplies: patterned papers (candy from Aimee ), Magnolia stamp (candy from Sophia , October Afternoon stamp (sentiment), American Crafts Elements hand-dyed buttons

Birthday card

I've combined 2 challenges in this birthday card:
http://kraftinkimmieskorner.blogspot.com/2009/02/kraftin-kimmies-birthday-celebrations.html: for today's challenge your card must be a birthday card and it must have some purple on it somewhere!!
=> Not really a colour I use a lot on my cards, but I found this nice paper in my scraps and based my card on this.

http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/2009/02/sketch-17-janina.html: sketch
=> Beautiful sketch, I only changed the size of the card because in Belgium we have to pay double to send square cards

Kerstkaart uit Cards Only!

Vorige week kocht ik de laatste editie van het tijdschrift Cards Only. Ik vond het nog beter dan anders met superveel mooie kerstkaarten. Deze heb ik dan ook bijna volledig gelift van Alma (p.78)

Friday Sketcher Week 23

It was such a great sketch this week. I love the half circles on both sides! I didn't put the ribbon on my card because I tought it was already busy enough for me.

I used Magnolia stamp and my nesabilities to cut the (scalloped) circle.

Gina K Designs' s release party

Yesterday I've made a card for Gina K Designs's release party challenge # 1 on Splitcoaststampers. Unfortunately I don't have any Gina K stamps, so I had to use another one.
