Birthday card

I started this card a while ago for a Sugar Bowl challenge, but didn't finish in time. It was just laying in my cupboard until last weekend when I finally glued it together and added the sentiment: it's YOUR birthday. I've used Basic Grey Wisteria papers (I think this is my favorite collection ever) and coloured the image with Copics. Her hair and the lovely dress make it a really nice image to colour and experiment with shadows. I'm actually very proud of this result!

Art Journey Challenge 21: zentangle

http://artjourneydesign-team.blogspot.com

As I finally bought my first Art Jourey stamps in Zeist, it was the first time I could enter this challenge. And it definitely was a challenge for me. I love watching zentangle, but I think I'm not patient enough to do it myself and my arm even hurt after a while. I'm happy with most of my designs except one is a little messed up, but I hope you don't see it to much. I might give it another try, but not immediately I think.

Sugar Bowl Challenge 83

http://sugarbowlblog.blogspot.com

I really can't choose between cute stamps and other stamps. Just look at this fantastic Sugar Nellie stamp! I've made this card to enter Sugar Bowl's Challenge 83: I've turned the sketch around and made it rectangle, but I hope you can recognise it. I've used K&Company papers from the Lotus collection.

Art Specially 2012

It's been a while since I've shown anything here. As we are redecorating our hallway and I underestimated the time we had to spend on this, I haven't made anything since my last post. I did think I deserved some leisure time in between the painting works, so on April 14th my mom and I went to Art Specially in Zeist. We had a wonderful day and we treated ourself quite well, but this will probably be the only event we will go to this year, I had some interesting coupons and there were really fantastic promotions! The first picture is an overview, but to see everything more detailed I've added some other pictures too. The last one is from a make and take from Scrapheap: my result was not perfect, but really nice to learn this technique with gesso. Next time I'll definitely want to do some more make and takes or workshops!
