Kerstkaarten (vervolg)

Zoals eerder vermeld zijn de rest van m'n kerstkaarten min of meer een herhaling van de vorige kaarten.  Soms met andere achtergrondstempels of andere kleurencombinaties.

Voor deze kaart heb ik dezelfde gesponsde achtergrond (Broken China, Stormy Sky en Chipped Sapphire). Daarna bestempeld met sneeuwvlokken van Hero Arts, een deel met distress inkt en een deel geëmbossed met wit poeder.  De andere stempels zijn van Art Journey (huisjes) en Marianne Design (tekst).

Door tijdsgebrek heb ik niet veel variatie in m'n kerstkaarten dit jaar.  Dit is het tweede model waar ik best wel fier op ben!  De technieken zijn eigenlijk dezelfde als op de vorige kaart.  De achtergrond werd met distress inkt gesponsd, nadien gesprayd met water en een gesso-water mix en tenslotte achtergrondstempels van Penny Black en Magenta.  Daarna 'merry christmas' van Hero Arts gestempeld met Versamark en geëmbosst met wit poeder.  De kerstman is van Stampers Anonymous en heb ik gewoon uitgeknipt en er op geplakt.  Als afwerking heb ik een rand gedoodled.

Yes, I did it! I'm so happy I finished this challenge succesfully with a result of 31 christmas cards!  I think I've made more cards this last month than I did in the rest of the year.  It was a really nice experience and I've learned that I also have to try out the great ideas I find on Pinterest and that I have enough time after work to get my crafty stuff out, even if it's only for an hour or so.  Now it's time to clean my desk 'cause I have to admit it's one big mess. As I didn't have a lot of time to do this in between, almost everything I've used is still on my desk.

No, I'm not failing on day 29 of the challenge :) But wednesday is my running day, so after work, dinner, running and showering I finally had time for my christmas card.  I lifted another card from Elke, I think.

Here's my christmas card for today. The materials I've used are: Dovecraft patterned papers 'Let it Snow', a star punch, a Hero Arts sentiment stamp and Brilliance ink 'Black Lightning'.   I'm sorry for the bad lightning on the picture.

It's crazy, but I almost forgot my christmas card today.  I went out shopping with my sister this morning and with my father in the afternoon and it got totally out of my mind. When I finaly realised it I had to choose a simple and quick design.  I only needed a Dovecraft paper pad (Noel), a star punch, 3D tape and a sentiment stamp (Hero Arts).

Here's my christmas card for today.  I can't find where I got the inspiration for this card, but it's definitely a cardlift from someone.  I've used a stencil from Crealies to create the background, stamps from Marianne Design (snowman) and Hero Arts (sentiment and snowflake).  For the colouring I've used my copics and my 4th attempt was finally right!

Sometimes I don't want to make cards, but I only want to colour with my Copics.  So I have some coloured images lying here ready to use.  This is why this card didn't take a lot of time to make. Besides the Magnolia image, I also used Dovecraft patterned papers (Noel), a star punch and a great sentiment from Crafts & Things.

Christmas Card (21)

This will definitely be one of my favorite christmas cards at the end of this challenge.  And it was quite simple to make: I inked everything with Distress ink Tea Dye and I also stamped the background with this ink. The music stamp is from Stampers Anonymous (Tim Holtz - Joyful Song), the star from PSX (I was too lazy to use my stamp ruler, but I think it looks ok)  and the stips from Hampton Art Stamps.  I've used Distress ink Fired Brick for the Happy Newyear stamp from Magnolia. Then I took some red leftover papers to punch the border (Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch) and glued everything together!

Because this challenge is quite something for me, I prepared myself well with some shopping in Crafts & Things in Antwerpen :)  This large stamp 'Christmas Story' from Penny Black is one of the things I bought in September.  It's the first time I've used the stamp and I absolutely love it!

So far I'm doing well in this fantastic challenge, so I think I deserved a little treat:) I bought 3 new washi tapes at Pipoos yesterday, christmas themed of course!  They are from Marianne Design, but I have to admit I'm a little disappointed because there's a repeating line on both snowflake tapes.  It wouldn't be nice to have this line visible on my card, so I had to keep this in mind and cut out a part of the tape. They cost about 3,5€,  so for this price this shouldn't happen I think.

I saw a beautiful baby card on Pinterest and changed it into a christmas card.  Perfect for some leftovers from my Basic Grey paper pad Figgy.

I had to make my christmas card early this morning, because my mom and me went to Oostende today. Lovely to walk along the beach on a sunny autumn day.  I finished my card quickly and it went a little bit wrong with the last stamp: a black line from my stamping block :(  I'll give it a new try when I have more time, but it won't be today 'cause I have to leave for my evening course now: learning to recognise birds, and today it's about ducks!

Christmas Card (15)

This card was really bewitched: everything went wrong, so it's a miracle that the result is ok!  The first problem was drawing the line, it took me 4 attempts to get this right.  Not so easy to draw this fluently and on the right hight at the same time.  After that I started colouring the lights with my Copic markers, but clearly I didn't use the right paper and it started 'bleeding'.  I tried a different paper, but it had the same problem so I fixed this by cutting the lights out.  Finally when I stamped the sentiment, my ink pad fell on the paper.  I was a bit lucky that it fell under the sentiment, so I could cut of a part and I glued it on a red card.
